Food Processing Electrical Services, Planned Around Sanitation

Food plants can't hand electrical work to a generalist. Our crews follow your GMPs on the floor, specify every component for the zone it lives in, and plan the work around production runs and sanitation windows, with the ESA notification and inspection handled.

01

Sanitary electrical installations

Every component specified for the zone it lives in.

Washdown-rated wiring, NEMA 4X devices and stainless washdown-duty motors on conveyors, pumps and mixers, with liquid-tight connections to match. Where equipment takes close-range, high-pressure, high-temperature washdown, we step up to IP69K-rated devices. Older plants get surveyed and retrofitted worst zone first, phased through sanitation windows and shutdowns.

Stainless steel control panels

One contractor from design to commissioning.

We design, build and wire NEMA 4X stainless steel control panels in our shop, install them, run the field wiring and commission the system. The stainless grade is specified from your cleaning procedure: 304 for most washdown zones, 316 where chloride-heavy or acidic chemistry would pit 304. Existing painted panels can be rebuilt into stainless and cut over during a sanitation window.

Preventative maintenance for food plants

Maintenance windows, not production time.

Thermal imaging of panels and connections, torque checks, testing of motors, contactors, drives and safety circuits, and inspection of washdown-zone enclosures and seals, built on the risk-based approach of CSA Z463. Every visit produces a written report with findings, corrections and thermal images that slots straight into your audit binder.

Refrigeration monitoring and building automation

Alarms before product is at risk.

For dairy plants, produce packers and cold storage, we install temperature monitoring on coolers and freezers with alarms that call or text before product is at risk, and the logged readings back up your food safety and audit records. Many plants start there and add HVAC control or energy monitoring later on the same backbone, with every enclosure and sensor rated for the zone it sits in.

24/7 line-down response

A stopped line puts the whole batch at risk.

Call +1 (519) 469-9797 any time and a licensed electrician answers. We troubleshoot drives, motors, PLCs and controls in-house, and for plants on our maintenance programs we already know your equipment, panels and records. Planned motor and VFD replacements are scoped in advance so the changeover fits inside a sanitation window instead of costing a production day.

Equipment moves and line changes

Line changes inside sanitation windows.

Food plants move equipment more than anyone: line changes, new products, sanitation redesigns. We disconnect, move and reconnect production equipment with our own fleet, schedule moves into sanitation windows and shutdown days, and rebuild washdown-rated connections properly at the new location instead of patching them.

Food Processing Electrical Questions

Yes, that's our specialty. We install stainless steel control panels, NEMA 4X enclosures, washdown-rated motors and sanitary wiring methods built to handle daily washdown and chemical cleaning, and we work to your facility's production GMPs.

We build to your facility's GMPs, use washdown-rated components in sanitary zones, and hand your QA team the documentation for every job, including the ESA inspection record. We're also an ISNetworld Member Contractor maintaining a B or higher score, so prequalification is already done.

Yes. We plan installations and maintenance for sanitation windows, scheduled shutdowns, nights and weekends, and coordinate with your maintenance and QA teams before we're on the floor. Production keeps running.

Yes, in-house. We design and build control panels, including stainless steel enclosures for washdown areas, and our electricians handle the PLC programming and integration, so you deal with one contractor from panel build to commissioning.

Call +1 (519) 469-9797 and a licensed electrician answers, 24 hours a day. We troubleshoot drives, motors, PLCs and controls, and we're based in New Hamburg, close to facilities across Waterloo Region.
