One Contractor From Enclosure to Commissioning

Panel design & build

Search for stainless control panels and you'll find enclosure manufacturers selling boxes. The box is the easy part. What your line actually needs is a panel designed around your process, built and wired properly, then installed and commissioned by a licensed crew that will still be around to service it.

Every panel project includes:

  • Panel design and layout matched to your process, point count and washdown zone

  • NEMA 4X stainless enclosures, 304 or 316 grade chosen for your cleaning chemistry

  • Sloped-top and gasketed designs that shed washdown water instead of pooling it

  • CSA-approved components, labelled conductors and as-built documentation

  • Installation, field wiring and commissioning on your floor, not just a crate on a truck

Panels are built in our shop and installed by the same electricians, so nothing gets lost between the drawing and the floor.

Stainless panels

Built and Wired In-House
Enclosure, backplate, wiring and terminations completed in our shop, then installed and commissioned on your floor by the same crew.
Specified for Your Chemistry
304 or 316 stainless, NEMA 4X or IP69K, sloped tops and continuous gaskets chosen for your cleaning chemicals and washdown pressure, not a catalogue default.
As-Builts With Every Panel
Labelled conductors and as-built drawings ship with the panel, so your maintenance team can trace any circuit years from now.
Licensed, Insured, ESA Inspected
ECRA/ESA licensed 7011473 and fully insured. Installation and field wiring done to code, with ESA notifications and inspections handled.

Getting the Spec Right: 304, 316, 4X, IP69K

Spec guidance

Plant engineers search by spec because spec is what fails. The wrong grade or rating doesn't fail on day one; it fails a year in, as corrosion on the seams and water in the terminals.

How we spec washdown panels:

  • 304 stainless for most washdown zones; 316 where chlorides and aggressive cleaning chemicals attack 304

  • NEMA 4X for hose-directed washdown and corrosion resistance; IP69K where high-pressure, high-temperature washdown hits directly

  • Sloped tops and continuous gaskets, so water sheds off the enclosure instead of pooling on seams

  • Hygienic layouts with self-draining surfaces, following NSF/3-A sanitary design principles

  • Penetrations sealed with washdown-rated glands and fittings, the first place cheap panels fail

Not sure which grade or rating a zone needs? Send us the line and the cleaning procedure and we'll spec it as part of the quote.

They installed a whole home generator for us. Top notch job! Everything went tickity boo. A lot of work involved but the trades were all very professional and explained the job to us as we went along. Other contractors wouldn’t even return our calls. Highly recommend! Local too!

I had them come help me with issues when I had my Lyric Thermostat. On time (early), pet friendly (did not mind my hyper chocolate lab) and price range very reasonable. I would highly recommend Charged Electric in the future.

Stainless Panel Questions

No. NEMA 4X is a performance rating for corrosion resistance and hose-directed water, and non-metallic 4X enclosures exist. Food plants usually choose stainless anyway: it handles heat and impact better, cleans easily, and it's what auditors expect to see on a processing floor.

316 adds molybdenum, which resists chlorides and the more aggressive cleaning and sanitizing chemicals that pit 304. Most washdown zones are fine in 304; plants using chloride-heavy or acidic washdown chemistry get 316. We spec the grade from your cleaning procedure, not a guess.

NEMA 4X covers hose-directed water and corrosion, which suits most washdown areas. IP69K was created for close-range, high-pressure, high-temperature washdown, so equipment that takes direct spray from a sanitation wand gets IP69K-rated gear.

Both, and that's the point. We design the panel, build and wire it in our shop, install it, run the field wiring and commission the finished system, with ESA inspection handled. One contractor owns the result.

Yes. We rebuild the internals into a new stainless enclosure, or build a fresh panel and cut over during a sanitation window or shutdown, so the line loses hours, not days.
