Electrical failures rarely announce themselves. Connections loosen, insulation ages and breakers weaken quietly, then fail on the worst day of the quarter. A preventative maintenance program finds them on a schedule you control.
A typical program includes:
Infrared thermal imaging of panels, MCCs, splitters and disconnects under load
Torque checks and cleaning on distribution equipment
Breaker, contactor and drive testing, with readings trended year over year
Motor and VFD inspections: connections, cooling and drive fault logs
A written report with findings, corrections and thermal images after every visit
Programs follow the risk-based approach of CSA Z463, the Canadian standard for maintenance of electrical systems, and the documentation doubles as the maintenance record insurers ask to see.
