24/7 industrial repairs and troubleshooting

When a line is down, we dispatch immediately.

When a machine stops or a breaker won't hold, call +1 (519) 469-9797 any time, day or night. We troubleshoot the power side first, then the controls, watching the machine's logic live where a PLC is involved, and we chase intermittent faults with monitoring instead of guessing. Every repair ends with what failed, why it failed, and what stops it repeating.

PLC programming and control panels

The program and the power, one contractor.

Our electricians write, edit and troubleshoot PLC programs themselves, primarily on Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and Siemens platforms, including programs we didn't write. We also design, wire, label and commission custom control panels, from single-motor starters to full line control, and install them with the same crew. Program backups and I/O documentation are handed over on every job.

Drive and motor services

Repair or replace, priced side by side.

We diagnose and repair VFD faults, replace motors and install new drives, including Allen-Bradley PowerFlex and Siemens units. Before you spend, we price the repair and the replacement and tell you which one we would pick if it were our plant.

Equipment moves and line relocations

The machine starts the way it stopped.

We disconnect, move and reconnect production equipment with our own mini excavator, skid steer and lift equipment, so moves are not held up waiting on rentals. Conduit, feeders and the new disconnect go in at the destination before move day, so the machine is only offline for the move and reconnection.

Preventative maintenance programs

Find failures on your schedule, not mid-shift.

Scheduled programs built on the risk-based approach of CSA Z463: thermal imaging of panels and MCCs under load, torque checks, breaker, contactor and drive testing, and emergency lighting testing to the Ontario Fire Code. You get a written report with trended readings after every visit, ready to hand to your broker.

Service upgrades, transformers and new builds

Capacity for the next line.

When the plant outgrows its power, we add capacity: 600V service upgrades, transformer replacements and substation work, coordinated with the utility from application to reconnection. For new builds and expansions we work design-build or plan-and-spec, from the service entrance to energized production lines, with ESA notifications and inspections handled.

Industrial Electrical Questions

An industrial electrical contractor installs, maintains and repairs the power and controls that run a plant: services and transformers, motor control, drives, PLCs, control panels and the field wiring between them. Charged Electric covers all of it in-house, from 24/7 breakdown repairs and equipment moves to preventative maintenance programs and new builds. We are ECRA/ESA licensed 7011473 and an ISNetworld Member Contractor.

Yes. We plan shutdown work for nights, weekends and scheduled maintenance windows, and coordinate with your maintenance team before we arrive on site. For work that can't wait, our electricians respond 24/7.

Yes. Charged Electric is an ISNetworld Member Contractor maintaining a B or higher score, ECRA/ESA licensed 7011473, and fully insured. If your site uses a different prequalification system, ask and we'll work through it.

Yes. We disconnect, move and reconnect production equipment, including line relocations and new equipment installs. We run our own scissor lift, skid steer, mini excavator and wire puller, so moves aren't held up waiting on rentals.

Scheduled inspections built around your facility, which can include thermal imaging scans, insulation resistance testing, emergency lighting testing, and drive and motor maintenance. The goal is to catch failing components on your schedule instead of mid-shift.

We serve plants and facilities across Waterloo Region, Toronto, the GTA and Southwestern Ontario, including Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford and London, from our shop in New Hamburg.
